With the help of the Scholarship/Grant committee $8,351.48 was donated to the Winfield Unified School District 465 and they purchased SmartBoards, Airliners and Projectors and Laptops for 6 of their science classes
Co-hosted a new doctors’ meet-and-greet with William Newton Hospital.
Was a sponsor of the second annual Dam Swim and the annual June Bug Jog, which had the Foundation’s name and logo printed on t-shirts.

Collaborated with local organizations and donated money to William Newton Healthcare Foundation to purchase a Physio Control Lifepak 15 Biphasic Defibrillator
Donated $12,000 to William Newton Healthcare Foundation to purchase a Fukuda Denshi Cardiac Monitor
Contributed $9,070.38 to the Winfield Emergency Medical Services who purchased 2 Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook Computers and replaced 8 long spine boards and straps
Kansas Veterans Home received a $4,625.00 grant to purchase a combination stimulator and ultrasound system for their rehabilitation services department

The Foundation Contributed $6,188.76 to the Winfield Emergency Medical Service for the purchase of a Physio Control Lifepak 15 Biphasic Defibrillator
The Foundation contributed $3,000.00 to the Kansas Veterans Home to purchase a NuStep recumbent bike
Creative Community Living received a grant in the amount of $2,368.90 to purchase equipment for their dental clinic
William Newton Healthcare Foundation was able to purchase a state of the art Harmonic Scalpel. The Harmonic Scalpel is a highly advanced piece of equipment used in a growing number of surgeries and can be added to an arsenal of laparoscopic surgical instruments to increase a surgeon's efficiency and a patient's recovery. The Harmonic Scalpel is actually an entire system that consists of a generator, a foot-pedal and hand switch, a hand-held ultrasonic transducer, and a cutting instrument

With the help of the HLSMF, Parents As First Teachers (PAFT) purchased an Otoacoustic Emissions Machine (OAE) Machine. With this machine PAFT is able to provide comprehensive hearing assessments to children in the program. These assessments must be administered within 90 days of a child’s enrollment into the program and annually thereafter or when a concern is noted
Creative Community Living received a grant for $5,365.32 to purchase 2 Nonin Avant 9600 Digital Pulse Oximeter and 2 Nonin Avant 9600 Sensors. This equipment is used in the assessment and monitoring of an individual patient
William Newton Healthcare Foundation was awarded a grant in the amount of $11,330.10. The Foundation was able to purchase a Total Gym for upper extremity, lower extremity and core strengthening in patients, a 3-Section, 500 lb Capacity Table, which will be used in the therapist rooms for correct positioning and ease of patients getting on and off the tables and an Interferential E-Stem/US Combo, which is used for pain control, edema reduction and reduction of inflammation
Winfield Unified School District 465 received a grant in the amount of $2,234.00 for the purchase of a Titmus Vision 3 Screener. This machine will be used to complete routine vision screenings on students

Mosaic received a grant in the amount of $835.00 to purchase mechanized blood pressure cuffs to take accurate readings
USD 465 received a grant for $7,980.00 for the purchase of defibrillators. Defibrillators in every building has been a long time goal of all the health care providers in the district
William Newton Healthcare Foundation received a $30,000.00 grant to help replace surgical lights in their surgical center. This will allow them to expand their surgical services
Winfield Fire Department/Emergency Medical Services received a grant for $30,336.00 for the purchase of a new automated external defibrillator for one of their ambulances

William Newton Healthcare Foundation was able to purchase a tourniquet, 2 transport stretchers and 2 knee positioners with a $14,975.00 grant
Kansas Veterans Home received a $4,500.00 grant to purchase 3 automated external defibrillators.
Easter Seals Capper Foundation received a $4,000.00 grant to purchase a new dental cart and replace hand instruments
USD 465 nurses received a 2 grants totaling $2,088.64 to purchase 6 nebulizers & kits and an automated external defibrillator
William Newton Healthcare Foundation received 2 grants totaling $50,895.92, to help purchase a STERIS surgical bed and 2 complete eye trays for cataract surgeries

William Newton Healthcare Foundation received a $30,000.00 grant to help purchase a new Wireless Gadox Digital Radiography panel for the Radiology Department
Kansas Veterans Home received a $10,750.00 grant to purchase a Bariatric Upholstered Mat Platform for the Rehabilitative Therapy Department and scales that will allow residents of all abilities to be weighted in the bathing rooms

Community Health Center in Cowley County received a $12,791.00 grant to help purchase updated on-site lab, diagnostic and emergency equipment

Winfield Fire/EMS Department received a $14,000.00 grant to purchase a second Lucas 2 (Lund Hospital Cardiac Arrest System). This machine provides consistent mechanical CPR to patients suffering from cardiac arrest
